This winter is giving all of Western New York cabin fever. With that in mind, this week (and weekend) it’s time to venture outside of your house or apartment, and visit the WNY Home & Garden Expo. The fun starts at 2pm this Thursday at the Fairgrounds in Hamburg, and continues through Sunday at 5pm. General admission is $7, while kids 10 and under get in free. By the way, parking is free—a nice bonus!
Why attend the show? Well, it’s a great place to get landscaping ideas for your yard, as well as a chance to choose your new deck, gazebo or fencing. Plus, you can walk through the 2014 showcase house. The large, diverse show is chock full of things to make your house look and feel better this year, including new flooring and carpeting, as well as pools and spas.
Vendors from around Western New York will have tables and exhibits with information about their products and services. Ivy Lea Construction will be there—come say hello!
Interior designer Taniya Nayak from HGTV and the Food Network is this year’s celebrity guest—come see her speak on Saturday at 1pm and Sunday at 1:30pm. Meanwhile, Lowe’s interior design expert Debra Lesinski will offer 30-minute presentations so you can discover “designer tricks of the trade.”
