Trusted Roofing Installation for Western New York Homes
We understand the importance of having a solid, dependable roof over your head. That’s why every roofing project starts with a thorough assessment. We inspect for curling shingles, granule loss, roof valley damage, and overall wear to help you determine whether a repair or full roof installation is the right call.
When it’s time for a replacement, we use high-performance asphalt shingles from trusted manufacturers like CertainTeed. These materials are designed to resist weather damage, protect your home, and last for decades.
Assessing The Condition Of Your Roof
Even the most durable roofing materials have finite lifespans. After years of protecting your home from all sorts of environmental threats, sooner or later your roof will need a little TLC. In some cases, you might just need to replace a few worn shingles. In others, when wear and tear is more widespread, it can be more cost-effective to invest in a full roof replacement.
Gutters, Flashing and Full-System Protection
A successful roof installation is about more than just shingles. We install full roofing systems that include drip edge, flashing, underlayment, and gutters to help manage water and prevent future damage.
Your home deserves more than a patchwork fix. It deserves a well-constructed system that’s built to last.

A professional inspection is often required to know if a repair or a full replacement is a better value. What our representatives look for when they visit your home includes curling and/or cracking of shingles or missing shingles altogether. What you may notice on the interior of your home include active leaks or water staining on ceilings or wall. These are all good indicators that you should have your roof inspected
2.Can you install a new roof in the winter ?

3.How long does it take to install a new roof?
The time it will take for Ivy Lea to install your roof depends on the size and complexity of your project. Your anticipated project length will be included on Ivy Lea’s contract. Our sales representatives can you give you an estimated time line.
4.Can I park in my driveway or will you need space for a dumpster?
Ivy Lea requires you to have your vehicles out of your driveway before the crew arrives each day. This is to ensure proper protection of property and make construction debris and waste removal by our team the most effective. All debris from your project will be hauled away by a dump truck or dump trailer and taken to be recycled or properly disposed of.
5. How do you protect my property from damage?
We use plywood and tarps to protect your home as best as possible. Homeowners: Roofing is a complex job with a large area of workspace necessary. Please let your Ivy Lea representative know if there are any sprinkler systems, sprinklers system heads, sprinkler system sensors, septic tank, underground invisible pet fencing, or anything whatsoever of value near the job site. Please remove any wired walkway lights or solar lighting. Make sure your driveway is clear of any vehicles or trailers etc. Please remove any lawn ornaments or potted flowers. Please remove anything next to or near your property that would interfere with ladders, etc. Ivy Lea representatives will take a lot of photos of your home from all angles before your project begins for your piece of mind. During the roof installation process, there is a possibility that items such as pictures, decorations, and other belongings within the home may be inadvertently disturbed, fallen, or damaged due to the nature of the work involved. While IVY LEA takes great care to minimize any potential disruption, it is important to note that we are not liable for incidental damages to personal property that may occur as a result of the installation process. We recommend removing or protecting valuable and delicate items in advance to mitigate any risk of damage.
6.How do I prevent Ice dams in the winter ?
Severe ice build up along your gutters and/or eaves of your home is a condition called Ice Damming. While steps can be taken to ATTEMPT to prevent or minimize this, such as ensuring the roof is properly ventilated and insulated, it CAN NEVER be guaranteed to not occur. Just due to the design of some homes and extreme weather being one of the causes, sometimes ice damming just cannot be prevented, therefore it cannot be warrantied. IVY LEA DOES NOT warranty against ice damming, and IS NOT responsible for any damage created by it. If any homeowner has concerns about ice damming on their home, they should inform their representative so they can discuss options.
7.Will debris and construction material get in my attic?
If your home was built in the 1800’s to 1940’s the original roof on your home was a cedar shake wood roof. Over the years prior owners have added layers of shingles on top of the cedar roof. Most common is 2 layers over cedar. If your sublayer is plywood or tongue and groove boards attic debris will be limited but not zero. If you have an open attic, make sure to move or cover any belongings you may have in storage in the attic or side cubby walls. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to remove any roofing debris from the attic or garage. If we are doing your garage, make sure to remove any vehicles or anything of value. We recommend laying drop cloths or tarps to make your clean up as easy as possible. We will take care of the outside clean up
8.What happens with left over material?
Ivy Lea orders extra material to account for the waste factor on your roof. Many times, we will order more than we believe we will need to make sure to the best of our ability we don’t have to send someone out with additional materials near the end of a job, this is to ensure seamless production and to avoid any stops in work. As a result all left over material is property of Ivy Lea Construction.
